⚓️ See you on Threads? Social media is finally delightful again
Hi Reader, Are you using Threads, Meta's new Twitter competitor? I signed up right away because it took all of five seconds from my Instagram account, and I've been having fun on social media for the first time in years. There's no pressure to create videos or gorgeous images, and you can just chat about whatever. I've decided to use it as a person, not a business, unlike any of our other social media platforms. I want to use it to make friends and reconnect with old friends. Here's what I'm talking about on there (though I'm also having useful conversations about taking vacations as a business owner and switching to new software): It kind of reminds me of Twitter a dozen years ago, when makers and designers were chatting and having book clubs and live Tweet chats etc. Here's what I like about Threads:
Will you join in? Come say hi to me and we can just chat and be real people and not businesses. Of course, Meta may certainly turn it into some kind of dystopian hellscape, but for now it's kinda fun! |
