⚓️ 12 easy tips for a healthy time management routine
Hi Reader, September! At least in the Northern hemisphere, this feels like time to get organized, get on schedule, and focus on work. Kids are back in school, trade show season is over, and it's time to get ready for the holiday shopping season. It seemed like a good time to update my blog post about time management, self-discipline, and avoiding distractions. I'm feeling invested particularly in the "avoiding distractions" part. I just returned from The Unique CAMP, where they took our phones for four days. I had no way to check in with the internet, and it was great. It was weird to see the kind of things I impulsively reached for my phone for (who knew how often I felt the need to pop open the weather app??). When they returned our phones for the bus ride home, had I missed any life or death messages or info? Not in the least! I had a couple confirmation texts for upcoming appointments for my kids and some sweet nothings from my husband. All was well. I've been keeping my phone parked by the charger since I got home, and now I have extra time to cook, read, and get my rock tumbler going again. My relationship with my phone has been getting increasingly more distracting. If you feel the same way about any distractions that are keeping you from getting things done, I have a refresher for you today! You probably know all this stuff, but I find that I need regular reminders to keep myself on track. Here's the post: |
