I'm currently gathered with my leadership team at our annual planning retreat. We work remotely, and it's a nice change (and a big help) to get together in person to develop our strategy for Aeolidia for the year.
We follow EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System), which you can read more about on our blog. We use their annual planning agenda to prepare for each year. Here's a quick overview of the topics we cover:
- Review the previous year's numbers and initiatives
- Team health building
- SWOT analysis
- Review our Vision/Traction Organizer
- Create an Issues List
- Establish Q1 initiatives ("rocks")
- Tackle key issues
We also go out to dinner a couple of times and get to talk about non-work stuff for a minute, which is nice. How do you plan in the new year?
