⚓️ A helpful content calendar & tips for your Labor Day marketing strategy

For those of you with customers in the United States: do you adjust your site and send marketing emails specific to the Labor Day holiday? Klaviyo, our recommended email marketing provider, tells us that their recent data shows Labor Day email campaigns performing stronger than 4th of July, Mother’s and Father’s Day, and even Valentine’s Day. So if this holiday isn't on your radar for marketing, I'd suggest giving it a try!

Labor Day is a great time to end the summer strong by launching new products or putting on a sale. Remember to use segmentation to send Labor Day emails to only your US subscribers.

Here are some segments you may want to use:

  • last year's shoppers
  • window shoppers
  • people interested in travel-related products
  • engaged customers
  • VIPs

A possible content calendar:

  • 10 days before the holiday - email and text to promote Labor Day products to last year's shoppers
  • 7 days before - mention your Labor Day sale or new product lanch
  • 3 days before - give your window shoppers tips on using your products
  • Labor Day - send "sale ends today" messaging

Using personalization and strategic timing, you can make the most of this holiday. And of course, you can apply the same general concept to other holidays, launches, and seasons.
