Hi friends, we’re looking for a Shopify Web Designer to join our team at Aeolidia. The job is full time and salaried (for us, that’s a 32 hour, 4 day week). The team is all remote in the US - we work in ClickUp, Slack, and Zoom. The pay will fall between $65,000 and $85,000 annually.
Do you know anyone who would be great for this? Please spread the word!
Apply by August 12, 2026:

Hi Reader,
The holiday season is when online shops usually make the most revenue each year, and being prepared makes a big difference.
For instance, if you can increase the percentage of people who buy from you, or increase the order total of those already buying, you'll get many more sales during this high-traffic time. It's also important to have a plan for email marketing, because you want to capture as much of that traffic as you can. This way, even if a potential customer doesn't buy from you, they get on your list, and you can continue to keep them engaged for future purchases.
I have a scheduling update, in case you're thinking of hiring my team to improve your site before Black Friday. We have ONE spot left in our schedule to launch before BFCM, if you're looking for a redesign, migration, or new site build. Please email me back right away if that's on your pre-holiday list.
Otherwise, if you have a shop that's already working well and you want to improve each of your sales KPIs before BFCM, we can work with you on retainer to tackle a priority list.
Here's what we're working on for other shop owners this season:
Email marketing (with Klaviyo)
- BFCM segments (e.g., VIP for early access, last year's BFCM customers, frequent buyers, engagement)
- Post-purchase flows to make the most of increased orders
- SMS setup w/flows
- Holiday popup design
- Holiday template design
- Plus: many more email marketing strategies, and recommended seasonal changes to 6+ flows/automations
Merchandising:
- Bundles, kits, and gift sets
- Product page and Post-purchase upsells
- Volume discounts (buy more, save more)
- Personalizable products
- Tiered progress bars in the cart
- Plus: many more merchandising strategies/optimizations
Design:
- Editorial landing page for sales funnels
- Holiday collection page design
- Holiday header design
- Direct mail postcard design
- Custom badges
- Plus: many more design changes and projects for the holidays
Development:
- Gift wrap functionality
- Editorial gift guide page built & added to navigation
- Announcement bar with scheduling feature
- Add urgency signals to PDP
- Beef up customer service, move to a platform if not using one yet
- Plus: just about everything on the lists above requires a web developer
Most shop owners begin work with us early for these strategies and optimizations. The good news is that there's still time for you and your shop! We would be glad to fit as much of this list in as possible before the holidays. We have space to quick-start a few retainer projects in time to shape your site up for BFCM. These are first-come, first-served.
If you don't have the capacity to join us for a full project before the new year, we are offering some pre-holiday priority tasks and fixes to tackle the most important work before fully beginning with you in January, as long as you sign on with us before our retainer schedule fills up.
Either email me back or view our rate sheet if you'd like to feel confident about your website before Black Friday.

Interesting Clickables
Missed something? ⚓️ Read past issues of Aeolidia's newsletter here
- We're at Shoppe Object and NY NOW, the home and gift trade shows in NYC this week. We noticed a big trend: things shaped like food! Here's an absolutely adorable grocery-themed felted art exhibition that I wish I could see (it's in Bentonville, Arkansas, the home of Walmart!).
- Have you heard this thing that you're the average of the five people you spend the most time with? I don't know if I buy it completely, but I do like to share my time with people who are curious, generous, and optimistic.
- Have you been in the retail world long enough to remember Daily Candy, the email with always-interesting recommendations for cool new products, food, and culture? This isn't quite the same thing, but I'm craving real human recommendations lately, and I'm curious about the Rec League.

The page includes new copywriting, customer proof, press logos, objection busters, help purchasing, a bulk discount note, cross-sells, a benefits list, a newsletter freebie, testimonials, and a FAQ.
Do you sell a special product that could use this kind of attention? We'd love to create a landing page like this that positions you well to run profitable ads, capture SEO traffic, and convert more curious visitors to buyers. Take a look at all the sales tools on the page below:
