Bring Aeolidia to your group or event—read on!
Hi Reader,
This week, Helen, our Ecommerce Strategist, and I are at one of our favorite events: h+h americas. This is a trade show and conference for craft brands that attracts the biggest names in the business: exhibitors include Bernina sewing machines, Wool & The Gang, and Liberty Fabrics. If your business is craft-related, I'd recommend looking into it.
The event organizers have hired us to teach classes about Shopify and Klaviyo, and we will also host two ecommerce meetups and a think tank. I dedicate a significant amount of time to speaking and teaching, sometimes for large conferences like this one, and sometimes for smaller groups.
Arianne speaking to other agency owners at Craft + Work in NYC
On my 2025 calendar, I'm teaching at three in-person events and on six webinars, I've been interviewed on three podcasts, and I'm hosting at least four webinars for the Aeolidia audience. In the past, I have spoken and taught for Goldman Sachs, Shopify, and CreativeMornings, among many others. Inviting me to speak is often inexpensive and sometimes even free, as it falls under marketing activities.
I have some time available in the second half of the year for you, and I have some well-honed talks I'd love to give to your group.
My team and I are available to speak about building an impactful business in the retail space, on these topics.
Ecommerce & Web Design
Branding
Email Marketing
Content Strategy
Leadership & Entrepreneurship
I also love to give live website audits for your small group!
If you're a member of a group or organization of at least five people that might be interested in hosting me, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'd gladly share more details and see if it's a good fit. If you have an event you'd love to see Aeolidia at, I'm all ears! I love to travel.
We're well known in the stationery, gifts, and craft niches, and would love to become more established in the food and drink, jewelry, clothing, bath & body, women-owned, and sustainable business niches.
I'd love your input. Will you email me back with some ideas?
P.S. If you're in Chicago and want to meet up, let me know! We fly back home on Friday.
Q&A
Here's a reader question about Lauren, from ecommerce software, as answered by Arianne, Founder of our team: Q: Lauren asks, "Why Shopify over other ecommerce platforms/pros and cons?"
A: At Aeolidia, we only work with Shopify, although we previously used a few different platforms. Shopify has won out for many reasons.
For one thing, the checkout process has been minutely perfected on Shopify, in a way other ecommerce providers can’t replicate. For instance, the first time I shop on ANY website that uses Shopify Payments, I can check a box to save my info. Then, anytime in the future, when I shop on any other website that uses Shopify Payments, it will recognize my email and ask if I’d like to receive a code to complete checkout. It texts my phone, I enter my code, and I don’t have to enter any other information.
Shop owners can also opt to use Apple Pay or Google Pay, among other options. With a single press of my thumb, I’ve made a purchase. It almost feels like I’ve accidentally bought things from Shopify sellers—the process is so frictionless! This alone would lead to more sales on Shopify than on other platforms, and anyone who sees high cart abandonment rates could benefit from a switch to Shopify.
