⚓️ Email marketing that aligns with your values? It can be done!

Yes, we can still start your Klaviyo project in March!

Hi Reader,

Printshop owner Myrna Keliher creates letterpress stationery and broadsides that beautifully showcase the works of modern and classic poets. A poet herself with a growing list of email subscribers, she came to Aeolidia to migrate Expedition Press’s email marketing from Shopify Email to Klaviyo and create her first automated email flows.

“She has this really cool business model where she does beautiful letterpress designs, but she also has relationships with the authors,” said Helen, our Ecommerce Strategist and Klaviyo expert. “So when she does a broadside with a quote, it’s with the cooperation of the author.”

As our team worked on designing and building Expedition Press’s new Welcome Flows in Klaviyo, we knew it would be essential to include the names of the authors in the email product feed.

The only problem was, Klaviyo’s built-in, drag-and-drop product block is limited, only allowing for a product’s name and price to display in an email newsletter.

See how we solved this problem and get some ideas for how we can customize Klaviyo to work for your unique business in this week's blog post:

P.S. Good news, we still have a bit of Klaviyo availability in our schedule this spring! These foundational email marketing projects are designed to pay for themselves. They're like starting a retirement account - the earlier you get everything set up, the more the dividends compound. See our Klaviyo rates here.

It was such a huge thing for me to have the support to take on the Klaviyo migration and leverage so many of its advantages from the get-go, which I never would have done on my own.

Q&A

Here's a reader question about design trends, as answered by Christine Castro Hughes, Senior Identity and Web Designer on our team:

Q: What design trends should we consider to make our ecommerce site more user-friendly and visually appealing?

A: Here at Aeolidia, our designs always combine a user-friendly experience with visual appeal, regardless of trends. There are a few design directions in 2026 that happen to align with our ecommerce best practices, so we’ll continue to incorporate them into our work.

This includes large, bold typography and bright, saturated colors. In 2026, type will be moving beyond legibility and into storytelling, so think custom fonts, oversized headlines, and layering type styles. Color will be used more daringly, which means playful color palettes, gradients, and pattern.

Another trend to spot this year is an increasing use of animation. When incorporated thoughtfully into the ecommerce experience, motion can help tell your brand story and draw attention where you need it. This includes subtle hover effects or narratives that unfold as your scroll.

Lastly, there is a lot of buzz about a return to design details that feel handmade, imperfect, and textured. This return to analog signals a longing for connection and simplicity, and it can create a warm, welcoming experience for your customers.

And of course, we can help you thoughtfully incorporate any of these elements in a way that supports your brand and keeps the shopping experience seamless.

P.S. from Arianne: if your website is feeling outdated or behind the times, we'd love to pair you with one of our designers to make it more modern. Please get in touch!
