True story – last year, during an in-depth SEO audit, we discovered half a dozen fake websites that were copying Aeolidia. Yikes! These spurious sites had cloned our content; infringing on our copyrighted material and negatively impacting our organic traffic. It took a fair amount of stubbornness on our end, but happily, the spam sites have all been shut down.

Q: Amanda asks: What's your favorite Google-friendly review app for Shopify? I've been using Shopify's own built-in app for 10 years and they're stopping it soon.

A: Judge.me is a great reviews app and is the one we use most on Aeolidia projects. Their free plan is impressively full-featured. Some important features included on the free plan are automated review requests, the ability for customers to upload photos, and the structured data that Google needs to show reviews stars in search engine results.

The paid plan is much less expensive than other reviews apps and adds the ability to group the reviews from different products and the ability to customize the review request emails, among other features.

For larger brands or ones with more complex needs, Okendo is a good choice.
