Hi Reader,
I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge that it's hard to market our businesses or do any kind of business-as-usual when people are being killed on the streets by the government. Truly scary times. Clients are asking me if it's insensitive to celebrate their launches. I believe that if you make a habit of marketing with your values, people will know where you stand when you post about your business. I know you have to keep your business going, and so do I, so I'm going to keep supporting small businesses and kind personal interactions around here. Know that emailing you about email marketing doesn't mean I'm not horrified (see a couple of resources in my links section below).
So... hey! I haven't been mentioning Klaviyo and email marketing around here as much as I'd like to. That's because we are usually fully booked for this work. But I'm happy to announce that we've added capacity by beefing up our Klaviyo team, so we can help more of you with this extremely important aspect of ecommerce.
Your online shop and email marketing are like peanut butter & jelly: they go together and support each other to create an ROI sandwich that neither can do alone.
Your email list is one of the most powerful marketing channels in your toolbox. In fact, the average ROI for email is well above 60:1, and it’s the one channel you have the most control over. When you’re doing well at email marketing, you’ll get over 30% of your sales from email, and 35% of that revenue can come from automation.
It’s super rare, if not impossible, to have a successful ecommerce site without having a smart email marketing strategy. If you’re doing the bare minimum for your email strategy, you’re leaving a lot of money on the table. Can I share more info about this service with you?
Klaviyo email marketing setup service projects may include, but are not limited to:
- Creating polished, high-end email designs, matching your aesthetic
- Setting up ecommerce automations such as abandoned cart, purchase follow-up, and/or re-engagement campaigns.
- Setting up an automated series of onboarding emails to immediately engage your most recent subscribers.
- Creating segments within your list so you can send targeted email to just the right people.
- Cleaning up old list data and setting up custom profile properties unique to your business.
- Cleaning your mailing list of unengaged subscribers to raise your conversion rates, save fees, and improve your deliverability to more valuable subscribers.
- Protecting your sender reputation and deliverability when switching to Klaviyo from other email software.
The Aeolidia team built our beautiful, robust, easy-to-maintain email & SMS marketing program through Klaviyo. Their team understood the technical details we would have missed if we launched on our own.
Bottom line: If you feel like you aren’t taking advantage of all of Klaviyo’s powerful features, bring us in to make sure you are using email marketing to talk to your users at every touchpoint on the customer journey that is unique to your business.
If we worked with you on a Klaviyo project before, we're happy to help with additional flows, SMS strategy, or ongoing campaigns.
Get all the details about exactly what we do for you in phase one, phase two, and beyond here: fix your email setup. This article also includes an FAQ to help you decide whether it's worth it.

If you'd like, you can send me your email stats for the last year, and I'll give you an idea of what to do next:
- list size
- open rate for campaigns
- click rate for campaigns
- which flows (automations) you have live
I don't know of any successful online shops that aren't also doing well with email, so if you think you could be doing better, let me know!
P.S. Speaking of email. Do you happen to use Kit to send a newsletter to a business-owner audience? I'd love it if you could use the Kit Recommendations feature to recommend my newsletter!
